The horse's name was Kawani ( which I thought was kinda weird but can''t judge a horse by it's name) and she was a 9yo Buckskin QH mare. The ad said she was broke but when I went to look at her you could get on her but it was kinda hard. First, the horse had a gaited bit in, second the saddle was crooked. The horse seemed jittery from the start and the girl who owned her said my riding instuctor( who has been invited to ridein the World Championships and is training a Two time World Champion horse) wasn't trying to break her which just isn't Lindsey's(my riding instructor) personality. Anyway, I'm sad to say I have marked Angel off my list. In her place is a 9yo Bay QH mare. The horse is broke for an intermediate rider which is what Lindsey considers me and is owned and rode by a 14 year old girl which is pretty close to my age. ANother one I m looking at is a 8yo White QH mare, broken for begginer to intermediate riders and named Impress Me Jacksteels (not sure what her barnname is.) Thanks for letting me rattle on and on and on.

Your comment helped alot.I think I"m not quite as exited now. Well I take that back I stilll am exited just I hope I 'm thinking more clearly and sensobly now. I know I don't need an untrained horse but it would be okay if I go thte horse and then trained it(well not me but I already have someone picked out to train for me) right? So obviously, I'm still considering Angel, but I have another one to look at. Actually I have a few to look at. The irst is a TWH spottecd paint mare that has been riden and is 4 years old for $400. The other one is a black TWH gelding thats 2 yo that's not trained and is $400. The gelding had had his shots and been wormed. THe person who owns them just got them and doesn't know their backgrounds so we don't know if they have had health problems in the past. The guy also has a few mountain horses for sale if I want to look at them. I don't hve pictures of the two TWHs but I'll post a couple pics of Angel:

Let me know what you think please!

Another Horse

Thanks for reading my blog, even thogh tI may be bloogging WAY too much.If I ever write something totally stupid that any good horseman(or woman) ashould know, just tell me because I'm so new to this. My riding instrutor,Lindsey, has found another horse for me to try.I don't want to!!!! My heart's stuck on Angel(the posibbly unbroke bay two-year old QH filly.) If she's unbroke, it'll be $300 plus feed and board.Ugh, Why does finding the right horse have to be so hard??? I found several good ones on the web today but they were all too far away. Anyway, the horse Lindsey found is a registered spirited 14.3 hhpaint bay mare that was used as a therapy horse before she was retired or something( I don't know why she's not anymore.) My favorite part is the price. Are you ready? $200!!!!!!!! Can you get a good horse that cheap? Isn't that too old to breed? I only want one foal but still... Lindsey said that since she's spirited, that it would be okay but I'm not so sure.;I don' t even know her name. There's several questions Iwant answered. Does she have good conformation? Has she ever had a foal before?? If yes, was she a good mother? Is she shoed?( I've heard it's better if horses aren't shoed) I just don't know. I read a thread on this website taht said a horse could be $200 amonth. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap but had no idea wha it WAS going to be.Well I need some help if I'm going to see this through.Alittle feedback, alittle 'YOur'e going to be fine' a little 'It's all worth it.' Because I'm starting to wonder...

                                    Is it really worth it???

I found a horse and she looks perfect...except two things, one is I don't know if she's trained and since I'm a first-time owner she had better be trained. Two is that I haven't even ridden her yet.She loks like a good horse. She stands for the farrier(ok all that 's been done to her hooves is a one-time trim), the profile said she's sweet(but when can you trust those things?), her legs look good and it said ahe has no known vices. She's a two year old Quarter bay filly. Her name is Colonel's Angel Fire, barn name Angel.I'm absolutley in love with her, but I'm hesitant because of the training thing. Go to the web address below t ocheck her out, and there's a link on that website for more info about her. ON the second website, you go to Barnsales and keep scrolling down until you find her.

                 http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-52043

please tell me she's a good horse for me,

Coolio! Okay, I know most people write about their horses the first time they blog, but I don't have a horse... yet. I am currently in the market for a well- trained not too pricey mare. I can't believe it! I'm finally getting a horse! I just subscribed to Equus to day and made an account today.Since I don't have a horse I can tell you about the horse I ride for my lessons. She's a beautiful Palamino named Pie. She's always ready to go faster, just like me so we're a perfect match. She is pretty frisky and can be a little hard to handle, but that's what makes her so fun to ride. Another horse I ride is a 19 year old Morgan mix. Her name is Susie and she's a beautiful dark bay. Her owner went to college and when she came back all the owner wanted to do was run and jump, so that 's all she made Susie do. Now, after you ride her , your hands and arms hurt from holding her back to a walk or trot. If Pie is fun t oride because she's frisky and ready to go,Susie's a blast. That's it for now, I'll keep you posted on my horse owning ( or non owning) status.

    love ya all,

     waiting 4 the right horse
