Angel is a really nice looking filly, and I definitely understand why you're keeping her on your list! When I was looking for my horse I kept this in my mind: horses live a long time and I was looking for a life-long buddy. I was actually looking for a slightly older mare, but found my girl right after her fourth birthday. Daisy is unusually level-headed and calm and had had tons of experience in loading, traveling, etc.

Two years old is awfully young for a horse and it sounds like Angel hasn't had many life experiences yet. In any partnership between horse and rider, it usually works better if the combination of age and experience between the two of you comes to a nice, ripe, round number. Before you let Angel steal your heart, give some other horses a chance. Horses between the ages of 8-12 are usually still in really good body condition and can pick up and go with you in whatever future you're planning. When I lived in Texas, I once saw a 50 year old horse enjoying a little intermission demo game of polo (played at a fast walk, of course), and he was having a great time. I'm sure you'll find the horse of your dreams! It took a while, but I found mine. Good luck!
