My horse hated the pyrethrin-based sprays and would dance around. He loves the new homemade spray, and he is the one of my 4 horses that is most bothered by flies.

Exact amount of citronella essential oil to use is small. Say about 10 drops for 4 cups of the liquid mixture. Just remember to shake the spray bottle before using.
