Who is expecting foals this spring?

I thought it would be neat to see who is expecting foals this spring. Please tell us when your mare(s) is due and if you want share pictures of the sire and dam! :)

    I'll post mine later.

Re: Who is expecting foals this spring?

I'm expecting three! I'm very excited and VEERRY nervous! I hope this spring goes MUCH better than this past one :(

All three mares are bred to Tracker (Late Attraction by Cochise in AMHA and Cochise's Late Attraction in AMHR). 28" 3 year old bay tobiano stallion:

First due is Casi in mid April. Mini Magic's Lady Casino (AMHR) is a 37" 5 year old black tovero mare. This will be her first foal. I did the "ring test" and it says she's having a boy. Hubby says it will be a chestnut colt. He already named him, either Cash Out or Chip (going with the Casino theme). Since Craig really loves Tracker and Casi, I will let him name the baby, but the registration name must be ok'd by me hehe :) If a filly, we're keeping her. If a colt, it's up to Craig if we will keep or sell him.

Also do mid to end of April is Cocoa. HRK Kates Chocolat Creme de Coco (AMHA/AMHR) is a 32" silver buckskin mare. This is also her first foal. Since Tracker and Cocoa were born I envisioned them having a baby together, so this is my most anticipated foal, and will NOT be for sale :) Ring test says colt. Hubby says they will have a buckskin colt. I'm hoping for a buckskin FILLY ;) Pinto or not.

And then due late May is Ruby. Landry's Cowboys Diamonds & Rubys (AMHA/AMHR) is a 31" 13 y/o (I think she's 13 this year... maybe 12..) chestnut pinto, homozygous for silver. Ring test says filly, I hope it's right! Craig says colt. A UNICORN colt. He's a little crazy ;) Last year the colt that didn't make it to birth was a chestnut pinto, beautifully marked :( This foal will also NOT be for sale :)

Can't wait to see these kids! Bailey due April/May. Dove due June/July. :D

All of these mares are bred to Kings Boston Rebel who is a 2002 AQHA Silver Grullo stallion. He is so quiet and sweet. I can almost guarantee that if someone came out to our place and didn't know he was a stallion, they would think he was a gelding. You can see him in my sig.

First up is Honey (Justa Real Honey AQHA) who is due end of March/early April. I am really looking forward to this foal! Honey has given me some spectacular foals in the past and I have high hopes for this one. I am hoping for a filly.  Here is a video I have made of her: http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=3d67660f3074bfc523bbdf&skin_id=701&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url

Next is Dream (No Poco Dun Dreamin AQHA) who is due end of May/early June. I am curious to see what this cross will produce! Dream is so small, 14.1, and should make a great reiner and hopefully a cutting horse. Her 2006 filly likes to chase our dogs and I am hoping she will make an awesome cutting horse.

Then last of all, which I don't think she is bred, but there is a possibility, is Liberty (Justa Real Go Getter AQHA Appendix). The only reason that there is a possibility of her being bred is that she somehow crawled under the fence (Yeah, she is at least 15.2) and got into Rebel's pasture on two occasions. I honestly have no idea how she managed to get under the fence, because she only knocked off the bottom wire which is at tops 3 feet away from the ground. Anyways, she would be due somewhere between June-July. The foal should be a nice cross, but I am really hoping she isn't bred so I can hit the show circuit hard next year with her.

We're expecting a total of 5 foals in 2008.  The first 3 are by our AQHA stallion Secretly Regal.  We bred him to our TB mare Rouge Chamois for a Jan/Feb foal.  Next was our gray AQHA mare Cee My Cinnamon Dust for an April/May foal.  He was also bred to our one of our APHA mares, Two M Finally.  She usually foals early so that one will probably show up in April.  The other 2 foals are by our APHA stallion Barefut Ruckus Raider.  Both of those foals should come in May.  One mare is APHA Two M Colonel Finally and the other is AQHA Lanes Lucky Sunshine.

Octavia is an Amber Champagne (no genetic test for Champagne so we're not 100% sure, but she has the characteristics) American Cream Draft mare.

She's bred to Alvero a greying bay 1/2 Andalusian - 1/2 Trak stallion registered with IALHA.

    Alvero's father -

Alvero's grandfather the famous stallion Teodoro.

And, Octavia's first foal (now a two year old) sired by the imported Lusitano stallion Saphiro-

I have no idea about names yet.  Approx. due date is May 15, 2008.

Re: Who is expecting foals this spring?

We are hopefully expecting a foal beginning of May.  We are as sure as we can be, without a test, that she is pregnant.  She is 17 years old and she has had three foals previously.  She hasn't had any foals during the time we have owned her.  We did own her last colt for about a year, a year ago.  I can't remember the sire's name.  He is a registared QH owned by by cousins other grandpa.  He is a dark brown and slightly shorter than Trixie (registared name I've Got Fancy Socks).  I'm not sure if I want a colt or a filly, I think maybe a filly but I'm not sure.

This is Trixie on the right, her son Chiko is on the left

I've got 2 foals due within the next week or two (first week of April). The mares are TWH's...one bay, one B/W paint. Both are bread to a B/W stud.

Also have a QH due anytime.

Our barn has 6, possibly 7 foals due within the next 2 months!  Its going to be crazy.  Rizzie is one of them.  She is due mid-April.  All of the mares are bred to Indian Artbeat, my trainer's stallion:

Well, the beagle pups are here (and as cute as ever).

But no foals yet. Both mares are 3 weeks over due. I'm beginning to get very nervous!
