These are a couple of weeks ago, but just got around to getting them on the puter ;)
Adjusting my girth... see how crazy she is? lol ;)

She actually spooked! I didn't think she ever would! LOL You can see it caught me off guard! But this was her spook: trot off quickly to the other end of the arena! haha ;)

Tomarrow my best friend is coming to ride, and so Calista will go on her first trail ride, I"m very excited ;) Nothing hard, just a short, very easy, well groomed path at a walk. But I can't wait ;)

Awww Calista is growing up. She looks very calm and happy!
With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we could not bear to lose you, We could not bid you to stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working feet were laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that He only takes the best. Gallop on Vodka!!!

Calista looks so good! Hard to believe she was the bag of bones she was when Jen got a hold of her! Good job!

Wow, she's pretty hot and wild, LOL. Congrats, she's looking great!!! I am constantly mystified on how you keep all your horses in such great condition with so many in a small space, you should get the horse momma of the year award -- and be an example to all those who neglect their horses using the excuse, "oh, there's just too many of them and I don't have room for X fancy facility..."

Thanks guys! :) I love this little girl so much! :)
And Solaris, thanks a lot, that means a lot to me :) My critters are my family, I always want them happy and healthy... and I can't WAIT until they can have pastures to roam all day long! :)

Re: Pics of riding Calista
I want to get her a new sidepull, this one works ok but I'm not crazy about it... so what color do you guys think would look good on her?
I'll be ordering from Sunset Halters, most of you know who that is, but for those who don't, http://www.sunsethalters.com/
Here's the sidepulls: http://www.sunsethalters.com/sidepull.php which type should I get? And which color? I think I'd like to add the browband, I like the way they look ;)

Re: Pics of riding Calista
Wow, Jessi, Calista is really doing well! But I think she may be too wild for you to handle Hehehehe! Let's see, which sidepull... well, which type of rope you get just depends on how much "bite" you want it to have. The more hard headed type horse will need the thinner rope because it will exert more pressure. You know your horse and can make that decision best I think she might look good in a bright blue or even a burgundy color. Let us know what you choose! LOVE Sunset Halters!

Re: Pics of riding Calista
Hehe, she's a wild one, huh? :) Had a GREAT time on our trail ride!!! It was funny, she was following Laura on Ren, but she was walking faster, so got ahead.... then you could see, she was wondering just how the heck she got in front, what happened to Ren??? And let him get in front again ;) But later on she went in front, behind, didn't matter to her. She did another "spook" of trotting haha ;)
I'll have to take a look at the different sidepulls again and decide which type. She's really good and I dont' think she needs much bite. I like the one that is pink/burgandy (I forget the names), always though Radi would look excellent in that one :) So maybe blue (also like purple on her?)
Thanks! :)

Re: Pics of riding Calista
ARGH!!! Jessi!!!!!! Now you know I'll have to get my tush in gear and get working with Nova now!!! Can I use the fact that there is still snow in the arena (deep and hard on top) as an excuse?
But besides the fact that I'm now lagging way behind.... She's looking good!! Congrats on getting her going, and very happy to hear she was really good on her trail ride.

Re: Pics of riding Calista
Jessi,
Calista has similar coloring to Mystic. Blue or black or combo of the two would look good. Mystic's saddles and bridles are black and his halter, in the sig is blue. Congrats on the riding and the good trail ride.
