    Can a horse be jinxed?

Ever since we bought my daughter's horse, it just seems like things keep happening to him.  I had him at the house for three months training him prior to purchasing him and nothing happened to him.  Since November he has stone bruised, got kicked by another horse and was sore, pulls shoes off, and yesterday he scratched his cornea.  AHHHHHHH!   My daughter thinks she has jinxed him and my husband is ready to send him back.  I just think poor Cash.  His eye isn't bad and will heal fine but Rendi has a clinic she is getting ready for at the end of March.  Since she got him she has ridden him 3 times!

    Anyway.... just had to vent.

Here is a joke I heard today:

If you ever have the urge to run around naked, drink a bottle of Windex....

    It prevents streaking! ;)

LOL Your joke is funny!!! :)

Sorry the horse is going through a run of bad luck! I'd say it's just being a horse!

He has done it again!   Went to feed this morning and he wasn't wanting to eat!  Big Alarm Sign!  Quick health check - gut, resp, HR, mucous memb, temp - normal.  Full body exam - found a swelling between his jaws.  Strangles? no Tooth Abcess???  Checked his mouth - no foreign object, no bad odor (horsey breath), no visable tooth problem.  UGH!  Started on antibiotics, wet feed so he could chew.  Swelling was down this morning and he is eating hay/grass fine and wet feed.  Again I'm beginning to think his name should be JINX!

Unrelated note - one of my dogs Emmy seems to have tangled with a snake last night.  She came home from a hunting excursion with one lip swollen 3x it's normal size.  You can see the fang marks!  Needless to say she is miserable but will be fine.  Poor baby.

I am also sorry to hear about Emmy. I am glad she is going to be ok.
