I have not been here in quite a while but I decided to try yesterday and amazingly enough it actually let me. Well when I left here I had Riskey, Pheonix, Tyrone, Missy, River, Tip, Mighty Fine, Ruth and Rahab. I adopted out Rahab at christmas time to a lady who got her for her great aunt who had just lost her miniature horse. She got a fabulous home! Next Mighty Fine and Ruth went to an elderly couple who had three acres and wanted some babies to spoil. They are definetly spoiled now, waking their mommy and daddy up at 5 every morning to come bring them treats. Tip had a sad ending though. I have 6 ft fences but Tip was a mule and mules can jump. I mean really jump! He jumped the fence and got in with my neighbors cows and ate out of the mineral tub in the pasture which contained urea (sp?). When I woke up he was standing at the gate and I knew something was wrong. As soon as I got him back in my pasture he collapsed. I got him up and we made the trip to the vet. I thought he was colicing because he kept biting his belly but there was no blockage and no twists. My vet did the blood work and determined that it was the urea actually making his liver fail. I actually thought the next morning that he was going to make it through but he didn't. He is buriied at my friend Jeans house out at the back of her land. I am sure some of ya'll will remember River. She used to belong to Sophie and she couldn't get her to do anything so I traded her my old gelding Ranger for River. After several accidents and major health problems I finally got her looking good but she would go insane every time I got on her back. The last time she started bucking and going backwards at the same time and the after I got down she reared up and flipped over. So I decided to try and find someone who would just love her how she was. I gave her to a friend of mine and he rides her with no problem. He says she is prejudice, lol, which I almost believe because she goes crazy any time a white person gets on her back but does great for him. Horses!
Anyways on to what I have now. I still have Riskey. His DSLD did pretty good this winter. I finally found a combo of meds and wraps that keeps him comfy. And Tyrone is still around and still a booger. Pheo is three now and I have started riding him some. The little booger bucked me off Saturday but that is the first time he has done that. Missy is less psycho than she used to be the rearing, bucking and laying down on me has stopped. She's still a little barn sour but we are getting through that too. I now also have a red dun mare named Ember that was given to me about two months ago. She is 7 and had never had anything done with her but every once in a while get petted. She has turned out to be the most awesome horse though. I am already ridng her all over and I have ponied other horses off of her, went through obstacle courses and rounded up the other horses like cows. Also two weeks ago my friend gave me a little 10 year old arab that he had rescued. He still needs some weight and a some vet care but he is awesome. His name is Sinbad. Ok I will quite going on and on now and get to what you really want, Pics.
