New River Valley, huh? I live in New River, Az ;)

    Jessi

Hahaha, really? I somehow don't think it's the same "New" River.  I live not too terribly far from that ginormous bridge over the New River that people bungee jump off of.

Well I live pretty much right next to New River (the river) but no one wants to bungee jump above it ;)

I am going to lose my mind.

Ever since I lost my job, my entire life just feels like an enormous C.F., snafu, however you want to say it.  In the past few days it has come to my notice that my car loan company, the electric company, AND my frigging bank either bloody IGNORED or BORKED my change of address.  They either have it wrong, or are still using the old address in Ohio.  MORONS, why do they even BOTHER having you fill out change of address forms if they are going to IGNORE IT????!!! I am so aggravated, I really don't even have the words for it.  Also my printer hasn't worked right since I set it back up.  I've tried everything, cleaning the cartridges, calibrating, removing them and starting all over again.  The cartridges are both nearly new, only a couple months old, and I don't print THAT much.  I'm ready to throw the entire printer out my front door and let the peacock and bunnies play with it.  The icing on top of all this "cake", the shippers who borked loading my filly aren't returning my many phone messages or emails.

Is it too much to ask for companies to recognize my change of address and for my horses to be with me??? *wail*

Sorry, everyone, it's been a rough day so far.  I apologize for my whinging.

I take it you haven't been to our lovely DMV yet either....  Trust me.  Take EVERYTHING they "suggest," because you'll need it.  I swear they are required to find something wrong and make you come back at least once per visit.

((((HUGS)))) I know exactly what you're going through.  I've moved 2x in 2 years, new job, divorce...yep.  Are you losing hair?  I did, by the handful.  Weight?  Nope, didn't lose any of THAT even though I ate Tums like candy. Go figure.  Printer?  Yep.  IDK what happend, but I can't just hit a button and scan anymore.  I have to use a screen interface and all I did was put the sucker in a box!  Could be that you don't print enough and the ink is dry.  I did that.  Sigh.  The last time I moved was Labor Day and I still am missing stuff.

Call the companies and ask how long an address change takes & make them remove any late fees for their database errors.

So sorry about your horses.  It about killed me to leave mine behind for 5 months.

    Moving sucks!!

Hehehehe, just you wait, Jessi & Jayne! You're gonna be in the same moving boat pretty soon Wink  I will definitely be able to sympathize/empathize!  Things are starting to come around for me, I'm finding more of my stuff as I get boxes unpacked, LOL.  I still don't know when my horses are going to get here and I've been without them for a month already.  The haulers I thought were experienced and professional are, in reality, a bunch of screwballs.  I'm going to see if I can force at least a partial refund of the slightly more than 50% of the total they've received - I will concede the cost of gas to drive from one side of Columbus to the other.  Both my trainer and my BO have offered to drive to Ohio to trailer my horses back for me Smile  So hopefully within the next month my horses will be here, and all will be better in the world, LOL.

On the job front, I actually got a nibble today!!!!! YeeHaw!!! I won't give any more details, don't wanna jinx it!!

WiM, moving definitely sucks and I'm glad it's done for the time being.  *Shiver*, 5 months away from your horses.  I remember how sad you were at leaving them behind.  I will be going to the DMV this week - I was waiting for some paperwork from my car loan company.  That came yesterday, so now I just need to gather up everything and head over to.... Pulaski, wherever the devil that is, LOL.

I didn't know where that was, so I just Google Mapped ya Smile  You're up farther north - I'm north west of Christiansburg.  Good to know there are lots of fellow forumers here!

Sorry you're still without your horses! :(

Glad to hear you have offers to bring them though! If they don't work out for whatever reason, I'd try with www.hauledright.com  I like them a lot :) I'm hoping they can move mine for me, but I do have a lot, would require more than one trip...
