    Feeding questions????

We have three horses with two different problems. The first two are very easy keepers and do not need much, if any grain. We have been looking at three options. One is putting them on Vita plus, and Vit and min supplement and not grain. The other is putting them on a light grain so they get their vit and min (plus they do not feel left out) We are loking at Triple Crown Light and Blue Seal Min-A-Vite Lite. What does everyone think? Any opinions? Any others you like.

The other horse is an easy keeper but needs more energy. He is find one ride a day but with a couple of lessons he has not energy. (they are not though lessons, but he always has had bad energy in the summer. I put him on Omolene 200 that has oats in it and it has helped, but he is too fat now. Someone suggested Sunshine Plua (Blea Seal) He is already on Vita Plus. Any suggestions of feeds etc. Thanks!!!! :)

I only supplement if there is something missing in the feed. Just throwing supplements at horses without knowing what you need or want is often a waste of money and can cause problems if the horses end up with too much of certain supplements.

In the area I am in we are very low on selenium. So I supplement a selenium and vitamin E supplement along with a biotin supplement for faster hoof growth and coat shine. Other then that I have free access to salt.

There are areas that have too much selenium.
