Steffen Peters and Ravel have become the first team from the USA to win the Grand Prix at Aachen!!!  And they did it with a 5% lead over 2nd place having all 5 judges place them #1!

Wooohooooo!! Those two are sure on a roll. And, may I add, "In your face, Anky!" (sorry, couldn't resist).

The winning streak continues for Ravel and Steffen Peters.  They took first in the GP Special yesterday at Aachen.  Their win margin was not nearly as large as the GP though.  Anky and Salinero were only about .5% behind them as opposed to the 5% lead Ravel and Peters finished with in the GP.  If you would like to see the scores they are at Eurodressage.com or DressageDaily.com.

OK, I have to edit this to say that DressageDaily for some reason does not have the scores posted on their site yet so if you want to see the scores you have to go to Eurodressage.com.

Why should You?... "Anky Schmanky!!!"  Who named her queen anyway...Her?

I am not a huge Anky fan but I do have to defend her here.  She did not name herself one of the all time queens of dressage.  A lot of international judges in competitions all over the world for a lot of years made her the long time #1 dressage rider in the world.  Fan or not her resume is VERY impressive and will be hard for someone else to match.

Was Anky riding Salinero or Painted Black?  I hear PB got injured. 

 I bet everyone is happy for Steffan at one of the barns I train at.  Early this spring he did a clinic at Grand Prix Equestrian(barn).  He was really amazing; a wonderful trainer as well as person.  I hope he goes amazingly far in everything he does.
