We used to have a regular Horse of the Month contest, but haven't done it for about a year.  So I thought I would start it up again and see how you like it.

It's open to all forum members and to enter, all you have to do is upload one to three photos of the horse you want to nominate to the  Horse of the Month Gallery.

It should be a horse that you own, lease, or perhaps take lessons on.  Please include the name of the horse in the photo -- so mine would be annapolis1.jpg, annapolis2.jpg etc.

And don't forget to come back here and tell us why you think your horse should be Horse of the Month.

Entries can be posted through July 24. Voting will start July 25 and the winner will be announced August 1.

I'm looking forward to seeing the entries, so don't be shy! 

Edit:  In lieu of the fact that I've somehow managed to set the gallery up so only I can upload to it, and since Nathan is on vacation right now,  you can upload the image to your own gallery and then send me a private message so I can grab it and upload it to the Horse of the Month gallery.

FH - I grabbed the photo "Indie Before and After" and put that in the HOTM gallery.  Let me know if you'd like one of the other photos in there too.

Technically, she isn't my horse anymore since she completed the 15 year journey back to her original owner three weeks ago. But I felt she at least deserved a token nomination after all she'd been through. Here's a before & after pic of the progress she made while I had her (5 1/2 months). ~FH

I uploaded a few pics of Nikki. I think she should be Horse of the Month because she has given me the confidence that I needed to really love riding again. She is there for me and very patient with me when I'm learning, but at the same time she makes me work and learn. She's not just a push button horse, I have to learn how to work with her and she has made me a better rider because of it. Plus she has a lot of attitude and I like that because so do I. :)
