It's coming on winter, horses are growing their thick coats, so time for my horsie to move paddocks. Why? Because with the thicker fur, she doesn't care about the electric fence so much, and there's only one paddock she can't get out of. Last week I went to the barn and found her in the Gracie-proof paddock. The barn owner said one of the other boarders had actually seen her escaping from her old one. She said Gracie got down on her knees next to the fence and then "collapsed" and kind of rolled onto her side and got up on the far side of the fence. The boarder was afraid something had happened to her, but the barn owner said no, this was just the first time anyone had actually seen exactly how she commits her escapes.
I knew she was smart, but really, this is so . . . planned . . . it just amazes me.
