    Re: OOOPS pics, silly me!

Wow - I hope Mickerby makes it to the team.  I'll be watching for the announcement.

Happy July 4 everyone!  I spent the day sealing the grout on the tile floor at my new house.  Well, to be exact, I spent the day sealing the grout in a bathroom and a hallway -- I have an ocean of grout yet to seal.

That's what long weekends are for, right?

Fireworks at the Oil Ranch in Hockley tonight, with Dee, Brody and the rest of the gang from the barn :)

Happy 4th and stay safe everyone.

    Virtumonde trojan removal

Here's a link for you rem.

The cure looks a little complicated and you may need to enlist the help of a geek. But the article also gives a good explanation about why the trojan keeps coming back. Good luck! ~FH

    Re: Virtumonde trojan removal

Well, we worked at the parade yesterday and everything went off without a hitch.  Journey got a little antsy after standing for 45 minutes.  We then spent the next 15 - 20 minutes doing circles everytime he decided to get fidgety.  But we were working the first intersection south of the parade route just keepign traffic from turning north into the parade route so it was really easy.  Nothing in the parade made him really nervous.   Including the 100 + Harley motor cycles.  The darn parade went of for almost 2 hours.  Then we went down to the city park where they had all sorts of activities set up for "PR" work.  Which equaled us standing around and letting all the little kids pet the horses.  I managed to get a few pics of the other team members that I'll post later.

Hope the rest of everyone's weekend goes good.  I'm off to get ready for work.

Hopefully this will work for you all.  This was an article in the local papers on our unit last month.

    Re: whatever

I just posted firework pics on my "sunset" pics thread.

Hope everyone had a good 4th weekend.  We are going to spend the remainder of today fixing my brakes on my truck.  A brake line blew Friday morning on the way to pick up my buddy. THank heavens the trailer had brakes cause we were still able to go.

Have a good rest of the weekend.

Amm -  I'm sure you are a proud Mama about Mickey. I have my fingers crossed that everything goes well in Malaysia. I'm sure it will be hot there, YUCK!!

RC - Bummer no fireworks. I guess you could have watched them on TV but that's just not the same.

Jayne - Wow girl you sure know how to live it up. Grouting the tile, now that sure sounds like fun. LOL Hope you had a good time with all the barn buddies at the party.

JG - Nice job with the parade. Sounds like you did well.

I had a nice weekend. Total bummer returning back to work though. The weekend just went by too quickly. Sunday my sister came over to ride. We were out for 3 hours. Hit some nice trails in the woods/gully. Had some nice canters in the fields. It was nice and cool in the woods and godawful hot in the open. The boys appreciated the hosing down when we got back. But poor Scout, I thought I was doing him a favor and I ended up almost tipping him over the edge. After the hosing, I put him out in the grass pasture to dry off. I had some liniment I wanted to rub him down with that I was to put on him directly after he dried off. I put it on and within minutes, his breathing shot up, he started running around acting aggravated, shaking his body. I was out in the yard and heard him getting more and more annoyed. I went in to check on him and seen where ever I put the liniment on him, was now swelling up. So I ran and got the hose and as soon as I started to hose it off, he got calmer. I ended up having to shampoo him to get it off. I gave him some benadryl just for precaution. I will have to wash him again tonight when I get home cause I can still see where some of it is still there. I really thought at first he was just annoyed because it was tingling his back. Here I wanted to help him and now I'm sure he'll be more sore from it. It was Tuttles Liniment. The ingredients are Alcohol 30%, Camohor, oil of hemlock, Ox gail, ammonia solution, turpentine disillates. I will never use it again and will throw away that bottle.

On a good note, here are a couple pics of me on Scout and my sister on Dandy.

Love the pictures Sp - your area looks nice and green.

Like everyone else we had a great 4th of July weekend - and of course it went by too fast!!  We spent the long weekend at the lake and just had a ball - swimming, boating, walking, biking, playing games eating, etc etc.  Had a bonfire on the shore Fri night and watched the fireworks over the lake - what a perfect way to spend a summer evening during a perfect weekend.

Am about to post some parade pics in a minute here - stay tuned :)

    Parade pics

The cottage area has an annual 4th of July parade and DD and her friend took their horses - my Dd is in the red shirt on Blue and her friend is in the blue shirt on a bay mare.  There were several other horses in the parade too.  DD decorated Blue a bit as you can tell.  The horses led the parade this year - Blue was a bit hesitant when he saw all the people lining the street - but he moved on as asked and did fine - he is always so interested in what is going on around him.

    Re: whatever

Yikes! Poor Scout!! Has he ever had a reaction like that before to liniment.  I don't often use it on Annapolis and on the occasions I have used it, thank goodness he hasn't had a reaction. Kudos to you for remaining calm and doing what needed to be done. I would have been freaking out. Looking at that list of ingredients, I don't think it's anything I want to put on my horse anyway. He's done without it this long, he can go on going without.  I'm glad Scout is on the mend.  Great photos, by the way :)

I had a great weekend, even if I was slaving away sealing the tile at our new house for part of it. I started out with a little bottle and roller, sealing each individual line of grout, but after a couple of hours, and only getting one small bathroom done, and looking at the sea of tile yet to be done, I decided to get some tile/stone sealer and just go over the whole floor instead of dinking around just doing the grout.  Was able to get most of it done in one afternoon.  Just have a small hallway left that Ididn't do last night because I didn't want to seal myself into a corner and get stuck there.

When I was taking a break from the sealing, I spent some time sitting out in our new garden and it's an absolute haven - we have a tree in our yard and there are 6 six trees on the other side of the wall, so I can sit on the patio and watch all kinds of birds up in the trees.  Very peaceful.

Saturday morning I rode Annapolis, he felt great and solid enough to even do some cantering.  He was on his best behaviour and didn't buck once (which was good because people were watching).  On Sunday morning, I did some ground driving with Star, which she hasnt done in a while because we didn't have room at Dee's.  Just as well no one was around to see that though, cuz she was a pill. Still, we'll get her back into it.

    Greats pics SH and Sprague!

Tile sealing how fun almost as much as me having to work half a day on the 4th and a full day on the 5th  - Icky! The new house sounds lovely and very exciting!

sp- good for you you saw what was going on and were able to get him some relief from the reaction fast! Look like lots of strong stuff in there.

AMM congrats on the truck - and I'll be rooting for you and Mickey! (Reminder - always have amm make the deals on cars)!

JG - nice picies too! What a sad story about boots!

We ended up riding our bikes on sat evening to the fireworks - our wonderful city moved the venue to a place with no parking - sheesh - they had the road blocked and people walking down the sides of 2 major highways - real smart NIMRODS!  Aparently there was a shuttle from the college but no signs telling anyone that there was  - We saw the signs at the entrance that no cars were alowed within 3/4 - 1 of a mile from - DUHHHH! So the 4+miles each way was a little hard on the backside but we had front row seats and the fireworks themselves were very nice, the whole field we were in was empty, (maybe 15 people in about 15+ acres-) I think folks gave up and didnt want to walk that far.

On the bright side had a nice little ride tonight  - that always feels good! Even with the lightning and storm coming in!

rr - hows Irish Ken - do you miss being in the states on the 4th?

    Re: Talented AMM

Hello everyone!  Love the photos by the way!  Anyway... I've been out in Starz' territory for over  a week visiting my daughter and her family.  They don't have dsl and her computer is slow, slow, slow.  (Did I confess that patience isn't one of my virtues?)  So.... was just dying to tell you guys to watch for pregnant Miss B in any Exiss trailer ads you see.  She's the chestnut QH with white socks and a white stripe.  Had her "stage-mom" been there during the photo-shoot she'd have made sure she was posing better, but....  In one of the shots she actually looks annoyed at the whole session...lol.  That's my girl...not one to like being in the lime-light...lol!  Exiss is one of our friend's sponsors, and I'm sure they figured I'd be proud to have my baby in some ads.  It is kinda cool....

Glad to hear most of you saying you had a good 4th.  Me too.  Went with daughter and family to some friends, cooled out and made homemade ice cream - like my thighs needed that...lol!  Hot, hot in Phoenix! Made south Texas seem cool!  Fortunately most of the trip was spent near Prescott.  The big rodeo was going on, but pregnant daughter wasn't into sitting in the heat and watching that.  Actually... since they live there it isn't such a big deal anymore.

Well... have work catching up to do, so later gators.....
