hey, the sun peeked in my window this morning. after 4 days of HEAVY rains and flooding, i saw my chance. my ankle was a little sensitive, but it felt so great to be back in the saddle. we rode thru the trails, they are destroyed by erosion and flooding. what a mess. Shooter was very good, but he kept wanting to move faster, and with slop on the ground, i was not taking any chances. one fall is enough. Yippee!! i rode!! i am so happy. now i have to go get a haircut!

yeah, i put hair in a quick ponytail, threw on a tank top and riding tights, drove 2.5 miles to the barn, called Shooter, he came to the gate( good boy- i did not have to wade thru the deep mud) brushed his saddle and girth areas, and tacked up. i was on the trail by 8 am. back by 8:30. i did not want to over do it. i have been blessed by being able to ride, so i am not going to ruin it by doing too much too soon. but the deer flies were bad at 8 am. i hate deerflies more than anything.
