Just a quick fyi while things are acting odd.....  Usually when there's a sticky thread like this one and I'm scrolling through the forum and reading all the topics it jumps to it at the appropriate time whether there's a new post or not.  With this one, it skips it, whether there's a new post or not.  Makes it harder to keep up to date on what's going on!

OK, bad news from the data center, we have to call Dell and work with their tech support to get Dell specific parts for the chat server. At best the part will be overnighted but given the holidays, that means Monday for the part and Tuesday to have the server back up. We are working on moving the chat software but it turns out that is not easy.

    I'll keep you informed...Steve

Was unable to move chat server software. Software vendor gone for today.

Working with Dell on chat server hardware.

Looks like I was able to move the chat license after all. Please check it out and report back.

Well, I made it into chat. Nobody else is there so I'll have to wait till someone else comes online.

    Can't use images from Gallery

Hello Admins, I used to be able to view the images from my Gallery and copy the html from Properties and then use this in my signature (with the proper IMG code).  Now when I try this, all I get is a red X in a box.  Is this something that can be fixed or is this a feature that will no longer be available?

Note, I have since worked around it by using Photobucket, but sometimes it is more convenient to use the Gallery space.

Yes, I noticed the same thing yesterday when trying to fix Spragueme's signature. Even if you click on the image properties, it doesn't give you the jpg code, it gives aspx code.

I thought it was just because I was trying to access it at work, but if you're having a problem too, that may not be it.

I'll pass this along and see if they can fix it.

I'm going to play around with this some more on my lunch break.  Apparently, we're supposed to be able to do exactly what you did (and what I did yesterday)  It's supposed to render as an image, but the aspx allows it to do some on the fly image resizing etc. It didn't appear to work yesterday, so if I can't get it working over lunch, I'll email him back.

OK - I was able to link to one of the sigs in Spragueme's photo gallery and use it for her signature.

You right click on the pic and copy what's in the properties field.  It ends with aspx instead of jpg, but that's okay.

In the signature area in your profile, use regular html code, i.e. img src="your photo url.aspx" inside the little <> and it should display the image as your signature.

I was doing the [img] thing, which doesn't work in the signature field.

Hmmm, that's what I used for my sig image.  But of course, that's from Photobucket.  The [img] thing used to work with the ES Gallery images, though, because that's how I did it before.

Hmm it may have done at one time, I don't remember how I did it in the past.  But my current sig is using html and the one I did for Sprague is using hrml so at least I know it works.

    Equisearch links are broken

You aren't doing anything wrong, ajzf. Those links aren't working for me either. Every once in a while the ES web site techs "fix" things that aren't broken. And this is the usual result. Welcome to ES. ~FH
