Thank you so much Anni. I do alot of praying for Adam myself. Thats all I can do besides let him know that I am there for him no matter what.
And back to the original purpose of this thread:
I went on a ride today. We were supposed to stay tonight and ride again tomorrow but Sharon was getting sick so we came home. We got home about five so I decided that I would work with Lily a little. I put a lead on her and started halter training. She was quite against it at first, rearing and bolting but only for a few minutes. Once she calmed down I was able to get her to make a few steps. Then I just dropped the rope and let her drag it around. She didn't even run from it and when she did step on it she immediatly backed up and released the pressure. She is so smart. While she was doing that I went and got a bucket with some grain in it and when I got back she came right up and let me grab the lead. I let her eat some feed and then I started leading her and letting her have a bite after every step. A few minutes later I could lead her 10 or 15 steps between bites and she didn't mind. When I turned her loose she didn't even walk away, just stood by me wanting to be scratched.
And Kat made some great progress today too. She ate hay right out of my hand. Very hesitantly at first but I kept talking to her and she got pretty relaxed. I didn't even try to pet her, that will come later. I just want her to associate me with good things like a full belly.
I ride high in the saddle, always saddle my own horse
still I'm every inch a lady from the outside to the core
I take the trail less traveled `cause I know where it leads
I live my life by the cowgirl creed

As for me and my horse, we will ride for the Lord!
