This GPS was plugged into the car as well, but appearently SOMETHING didn't work with that! :( Ah well...

I've been terrible with updating this weekend but I thought I'd give you guys a quick summary because I'm studying for finals tonight and don't have time for a full update:
I've finally been getting to work with Lily! She has been great. Her stubborn streak came back out the first day I lunged her, but as soon as she figured out that I meant business she gave a pouty look and got to work. I love how expressive she is. She sure does have beautiful movement, too. I'm finally going to be able to ride her this week, but it'll probably be in a few days because I want to wait until I'm not stressing about finals.
She has been socializing more, she goes in with the other horses now and is moved into a pasture bordering one with horses. She is so full of life compared to when she first got here, I love it! But she gave me the saddest face when I went to her stall to say goodbye for the night. I can't make it out to see her tomorrow because of a Biology final, and I swear she knows it. She put her head on my chest and sighed and it made me want to forget all about school.

Jess,
Check the connections, but also check the fuse in the cigarette lighter adapter. They usually have a glass cylinder fuse in the nose. The fuse might have just blown.

I am so glad to hear she is back to normal, even the stubborn streak
I sure miss her sometimes, especially when I go out to the barn. I was looking at pictures of her the other day. Can we please please please get some new pictures of her After finals are done of course. Aren't you going to be excited to be able to spend all that time with her?
I ride high in the saddle, always saddle my own horse still I'm every inch a lady from the outside to the core I take the trail less traveled `cause I know where it leads I live my life by the cowgirl creed  As for me and my horse, we will ride for the Lord!

Anni, good to hear the update about Lilly! Don't worry, soon finals will be over and you'll be free to spoil her more :)
Frank, it was a rented GPS and my brother's car, but I'll mention checking the fuse to him. I did tell him it wasn't working though so he might already have thought to, but I don't know :)

Hehe Craig thought I was crazy for all the chicken photos ;) I still need to get a few off my phone, have some of you two riding, and Cressa's neck when I was on her ;)
The graduation was at Reliant Stadium, where the Texans play. I thought that was neat :) Oh and the HS was Klein Collins.

I thought that was probably the Reliant Stadium, but wasn't sure because I haven't actually been there. What happened to the days when High School graduation was in the high school gym? LOL.
Haha - just thinking about the photo you probably have of me riding, from the rear, with that saddle crooked - bet I look great, rofl!
It *was* fun though.

I don't blame you, she's so easy to miss! I try to see her every day, even if it's only for a quick grooming, and if I miss a day I know it (and she lets me know!) because I miss her.
If the weather will cooperate I'll get everyone some more pictures of her. Unfortunately it keeps raining every day I remember the camera. We are having such a wet summer so far it's ridiculous. I rode outside on Friday for the first time in forever and the next day the arena was underwater again. I am glad Lily does well in the indoor, but I really do prefer free lunging which is next to impossible in the indoor because horses get so distracted and it's so big/rectangular.
I have so many fun plans for her! Our first lesson is coming up soon, too. I wanted to work with her on my own a few times first (she really is a fun horse to train, I feel like she is a good "starter" for me. She is a very consistent and patient horse) because I think she still responds best to our one-on-one sessions.

If he's there I'll have him bring the camera, but he has finals later in the week than I do so I'm not sure he'll make it out with me that day.
Funny story about Lily as a "wild Mustang" that Hilary told me today.... I guess one of the young girls that rides there and her mom were raving about how this TB mare Spring was so unusually sweet to them and being so cute and they mentioned how she stuck her head over the stall door and wanted attention, but Hilary knew Spring was in a pasture. So she had them show her the horse and she's like, "oh, no, that's Lily, Anni's Mustang" and they were so amazed that Lily was the Mustang... it's so funny, no one connects that she's the Mustang until we tell them... they are all so impressed with her.
I love what a good girl she is, too. Even after I dewormed her today she still followed me around and wanted love. It is sure nice to have that cute little grey face waiting for me when I go out there.

It's very easy to overlook the obvious, and sometimes those glass fuses the link might melt behind the metal end caps where it's not as easy to see the break.
