Today I was able to lead Lily around the pen several times with very little coaxing. But then Kat freaked and scared her so she started bolting and tearing around the pen. I decided then that I was going to move her into a different pen. So I caught her and lead her through the barn, (scary) into a stall, (very SCARY) and out into the round pen (she liked that). She was happy to be away from Kat but Kat was really upset. Kat was crying and running around her pen. Poor Kat.
But with Lily gone Kat was much more willing to let me get close to her. She ate hay right out of my arms and wasn't really scared. She moved away several times but always came right back. She is starting to trust me more since I am not pushing her. She has a really soft eye and I can tell she is going to be a real sweetheart.
I ride high in the saddle, always saddle my own horse
still I'm every inch a lady from the outside to the core
I take the trail less traveled `cause I know where it leads
I live my life by the cowgirl creed

As for me and my horse, we will ride for the Lord!
