Need advice on moving horse from stall feeding to pasture

We have just moved back to Utah where we lived a long time ago.  My horse, Briahna, won't be here until next week.  I've got the opportunity to keep her in a pasture of a friend of ours. Smile

She's got Cushing's, but it's controlled by a daily dose of pergolide and her diet.  She'll be coming with two bales of the hay she's been eating currently.  I'm looking for advise on how long to let her graze each day until I can turn her out 24/7.  I will keep her in a pipe stall at the racetrack/rodeo grounds, just a short distance away from the pasture where she will end up, while we get into the pasture.

Any suggestions?????  Can she free graze? Should I use a grazing muzzle???

Consider using a grazing muscle and definetly introduce her slowly if she is not used to free access pasture.  It's hard to tell without knowing more how much pasture she can handle.  To research further look at the search results from the link below on nutritional management.  It may contain more than you wanted to know but it's worth the read.
