We have just moved back to Utah where we lived a long time ago. My horse, Briahna, won't be here until next week. I've got the opportunity to keep her in a pasture of a friend of ours.
She's got Cushing's, but it's controlled by a daily dose of pergolide and her diet. She'll be coming with two bales of the hay she's been eating currently. I'm looking for advise on how long to let her graze each day until I can turn her out 24/7. I will keep her in a pipe stall at the racetrack/rodeo grounds, just a short distance away from the pasture where she will end up, while we get into the pasture.
Any suggestions????? Can she free graze? Should I use a grazing muzzle???
