Knight is an OTTB that I bought in late 2006. He is a smart and quirky individual who's love in life is a bag of baby carrots and getting his ears scratched.
I've been riding competitively since my age was a single digit, mostly eventing in South Africa, where I was born. I've started a few horses and worked with rehab cases, and got Knight simply to enjoy riding and a solid bond.
Knight and I are both retired from hard work, and spend our days riding the trails near our barn and generally just hanging out. His ongoing education in rooted in natural horsemanship, using the ideals of Monty and John to guide his adjustment from life at the track to life as a pleasure horse.
My relationship with this horse is one of the most rewarding in my life, and when I count my blessings, I count him twice.
