Early one winter morning.

As a picture on a wall from a distance, the balance between light and dark is a bit extreme, but get up close and and it has a special draw to it, right to the back of the photograph. I just wanted to hop on a horse and go to the back of the photo and keep on going! Just a tad more lightness to reveal the details of the interior, with maybe a horse's head looking out of the stall door nearest the big door, with light falling on his face would confirm that promise of a beautiful ride, plus, soften the blow of the open door a little and help with the balance. I wouldn't have framed this picture any other way, though. A good photo says "yes! I want to be there!" and this one does...I like it! 1:55 PM on August 17, 2005
