It seems then one of the most important things is too see how the bit fits in my own horses mouth. Currently I do use one of the kk which I thought was a French Link. It has a fairly small bean. I was also under the impression it was considered a mild bit, I believe I have educated hands and wanted something gentle to start my mare in. On the subject of bit fit how much past the lips should the bit extend? thank you again for replys

Has anyone heard of a Pariani jumping saddle? I am also looking at a County, does anyone have experience with that brand? thank you.

Could someone explain the difference between a FL and a Dr. B please? I have seen bits with a large flat center, a small bean, a small round ball, a really fat bean, some have a noticiable curve to the canons, some have a slight curve. I just saw a bit, it was a three piece, there was a slot on the cheekpiece for a chin strap?? Since when do snaffles require chin straps? Help please.

I am wondering if it is possible to read the online extras that are available each month for past issues? thank you.

From a front view you can see the size of her hocks, they aren't really as big, wide, as you would think they should be for a horse her size, neither are her knees. This weekend is too busy but maybe next week I can take some pictures of them.

Yeah, it would be nice if there wasan upload button, I don't know the tech stuff behind it, but on a different forum when posting you just click upload, it takes you to your pictures and you choose the picture you want and click. The biggest problem is resizing which was a deal until I learned how. I will try photo bucket, but that is a lot of extra steps. I use Mozilla Firefox and it won't paste over, I get told that function is not allowed. I am on a pc, maybe that makes a difference.

I will be posting her picture on another thread to ask opinions and a name.

here is a pic of my new mare. She is a reg TB. "Lass of Fire" I am looking for a barn name for her. She is a bit insecure as she hasn't had much done with her for several years, but she is brave and kind. Appears to have a calm, steady nature when she understands what I want. I have been impressed with how accepting she has been of new circumstances. I use a bucket to wash tails, just bring that bucket up under the tail as high as it will go and wash away, some horses take some time

thanks for the ideas, hmm, I like silken. amberp, cool names, what about Shylo? or is that a male name? Her registered name is Lass of Fire, out of Brodon Lass by Blazing Fire. She is a chestnut with lovely flaxen mane and tail.
