In the middle of one of our trail patterns. This was a tough little obstical! Trot into box, around cone, into and out of another smaller box, into a third box (still trotting), stop, pivot 360, and walk out. We placed third in this class. (we tripped over one of the lope over poles, oops!)

The snow finally melted enough that I was able to go for a decent ride today, but it won't last for long. Here in the great northern mountains of California it tends to give us just a breath of spring in January, then bury us under several feet of fresh snow! All this to say I can't wait for...

This is at a SSK show. We are just starting our western horsemanship pattern. We placed 2nd or 3rd, I can't remember which class the photo was taken in.

Part of a Ranch Horse Trail class at a 4-H schooling show. As you can see, we're not really cut out for roping!
